When somebody calls you on whatever stupid shit you’re trying to pull, you can react one of two ways.
1) You can face it. Admit that you’ve been a tool. Accept the consequences. Move on.
2) You can grab a shovel and try to bury the shit you’ve been called on with an insurmountable heap of even more shit.
Choice number one can be uncomfortable, but it really only lasts a moment.
Choice number two, puts you to work for the rest of your existence shoveling shit. It’s hard work. It’s dirty work. It’s never ending work.
And yet, it’s the path I’ve seen most chosen.
Puzzling, eh?
